Amber Casper is a violist, performer, and dedicated music educator living in the Philadelphia area. For over a decade, she has guided learners of all ages, from beginners to seasoned musicians, on a joyful journey into the world of string music.
Amber has been privileged to study with some of the world's most distinguished teachers across the United States, China and the United Kingdom, with her principle mentor being the celebrated violist, Hong Mei Xiao. Amber has performed in concert halls around the world and taught at Italy’s InterHarmony International Music Festival. But it is in her private studio, surrounded by the timeless beauty of the violin and viola, that she offers her most meaningful work.
At some point, life gets boring without the arts! Amber believes that music offers a lifelong source of beauty, joy, and personal expression, not only for children, but for adults and retirees seeking to enrich their lives. In her mentorships, she creates an atmosphere of warmth, elegance, and inspiration, where students can explore music at their own pace, in their own way. Whether welcoming a beginner to their first notes or helping a returning musician rediscover their voice, Amber’s teaching is rooted in care, artistry, and a deep love for the timeless language of music.
