It's been my experience that having a few simple tools in your pocket can literally make or break you. If you have taken the time to study, get your degrees, perform and teach, then you're probably a very capable teacher. The problem always seems to be connecting with people who want to study with you.
How do you get students?
What I have done, is pretty simple and I would not characterize myself as being very technologically savvy, but I am determined, I love to teach, I know that I am a great teacher and I absolutely love my students. You can have that joy of teaching people who want to study with you too. Remember--people are looking for the right person as well not just the person with the most credentials (which are important too!) But just don't forget to show them yourself in your online presence as well.
There are a few things you can do.
#1. Pretend you are a student looking for lessons in your area. Simply do an internet search for "Violin lessons in ___"
See what websites come up.
#2. Create a profile on the top 5 websites that come up (its free to do this). Thumbtack is a great option and its quick and easy to make a profile!
#3. Create a website of your own!!!! Its soooooo easy and you will thank yourself in the future
That's it and you'll start to get yourself out there so that people can find you! so DO IT NOW!!!
