We are not separate from the Earth. We are a by product of it. We are the result of billions of years of life on the Earth and now here we are as humans experiencing this unique journey through the universe. I used to think there was nothing that special about all the matter that makes up our world--our bodies, the flowers and mountains and forests and oceans, the animals and plants, etc. I would try to look past the thing into the essence of the thing, into the spiritual qualities of beauty, strength, peace, love, protection, etc. But in doing that, I was looking past the actual object, I was missing the enjoyment of being in the presence of it. Of experiencing it. I was always taught that matter was this grand illusion and that the reality was the eternal, spiritual essence beneath the surface of matter. Look away from matter and into spirit. That taught me A LOT and I do not regret it, but I'm so glad that I've had a different perspective now for more than a few years. I feel I can appreciate the world around me so much more.
We live in what we perceive to be a physical universe. We are taught that the Big Bang created our universe 14 billion years ago (that sounds like a lot, but actually the US national debt is probably 10x that--but thats quite another story!) Anyway, this explosion of energy created gas and elements which collected over time into stars and other celestial objects. Over time, stars died and exploded which gave birth to metals and other bits of matter. These collected to form more stars and eventually, galaxies, planets and solar systems. Many more years go by and there are signs of life and conscious beings. For me this process is what I like to refer to as "Source" understanding itself. Source being something like infinite energy. Everything is made of Source because energy can't be destroyed. It can only be transferred. Everything from the carpet, to a plant, to a computer, to a human, to stars and planets, all the various dimensions within this universe....everything, everything is made of the same fundamental substance. We ARE Source having a unique experience as me and you, as a table, as a star, etc. As an aspect of Source I am an infinite being. I may be having a human experience right now, but Amber won't be the end of me and she wasn't the beginning of me. We are all connected and therefore I am a reflection of you, and you and I are not so different from animals or insects or plants. All these aspects of Source have a unique and valuable perspective.
There is intelligence in our design. Throughout nature you will see similar patterns like spirals in shells, flowers, the number of petals on a flower, the way an embryo forms in the womb. You will see this sequence everywhere in Nature. Its known as the Fibonacci Spiral or Golden Sequence. 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, etc. Take a look at your finger. The length of the joint at the tip is 1. The middle joint is also 1. Add those joints together and you get 2. Now add the new length of 2 to the base of your finger which is also 1 and you will get 3. Now you have a perfectly proportioned finger. If you were to graph this you would get a spiral shape...the kind of shape you will see in a rose, or in a sunflower for example. The cells of an embryo split and grow in this pattern. Here we have what is also known as Sacred Geometry. Its absolutely fascinating and that's about all I can tell you about it, but basically its the way thought manifests into the physical.
Our universe is absolutely magical. It is and its waaaaaaay more than just going to school or paying bills or loosing weight or trying to be perfect. We are here on the third planet from the sun. Our lives are dependent on the light from the sun. Our lives are dependent on the nourishment from the Earth. Believe it or not but our body is actually working everyday towards our benefit. Believe it or not, but we can choose to think the thoughts we are thinking. Believe it or not, but we are the only ones creating our lives. What do you want out of your life? I want to go see everything that I possibly can on this planet. I want to eat and enjoy the freshest and most beautiful fruits and vegetables, I want to meet amazing and interesting people. I want to learn because I know I don't know anything. I'll probably fall down, but I'll get up because life is too sweet to stay down and I'll be stronger for it anyway.
