A Community String Ensemble
Come listen. Come play.
Born out of the private studio, Media’s Merry Musicians is a free community ensemble bringing musicians together in Media and online. Sponsored by the Media-Upper Providence Free Library, we explore beautiful, approachable music from classical, traditional folk, medieval, and American folk repertoire, with no audition, fee, or obligation.
In-person rehearsals are held every other month on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Media-Upper Providence Free Library, with online rehearsals offered via Zoom the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm ET. Review our archive of online rehearsals via the Violin Viola Masterclass Patreon Page.
We are a family oriented ensemble and welcome musicians of all ages, with youngsters accompanied by an adult. Violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, accordion, and harp are especially welcome, but all instruments are invited.
You don’t have to live in Media to be a Media Merry Musician--join us online from anywhere, and whenever you find yourself near Media, bring your instrument and come play with us!
