A Community Violin Ensemble
Media's Merry Musicians Ensemble grew out of the studio's desire to connect with our community here in Media. In 2026, we will be entering our third year!
We are a small, friendly group of violinists, violists and guitarists looking to make new musical friends in our community. We hope that you will come join us in 2026! This group is open to adults and youth (ages 12+) accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Selections include a mix of folk, traditional, classical, and popular styles. Our ensemble is directed and our repertoire is curated (suggestions welcome!) by violin and viola teacher, Amber Lee Casper. Learning to play with others is part of the journey, so stumble right along with us as we all learn together in a positive and encouraging environment.
We meet six times a year or every other month on Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Media Upper Providence Free Library. You do not have to be a private student of Ms. Casper to join us, but ensemble members are encouraged to perform in the studio's December recital, and we plan to explore more performance opportunities in 2026 (more info in the PDF below).
It's normal to feel a little shy when trying something new--we all do! Just don't let that stop you from joining in the joy of making music together...especially the joy of making music with your friends, neighbors and our precious community here in Media.
