CONNECT with others at the Violin/Viola Group Classes and Virtual Studio Circle
The Group Class is a dedicated music bubble time. I plan a small lesson (recommended books listed below) and also give you structured practice time. We also try out some of the things guest artists have brought up in their classes (see next tier). You can ask questions and receive help on issues you're struggling with too. We also hold a mini masterclass on the second group class of the month for anyone who would like to play and receive feedback from the group (like a mini lesson in front of the class). Sign up to play by attending the first class of the month.
Some of the books we use are The Schradieck School of Violin Techniques Book 1, First Etude Album for Violin, Introducing the Positions Book 1 and 2, Wolfahrt 60 studies for Violin, Suzuki Books 1-4, Solos for Young Violinists Book 1, Cantigas Renaissance Festival Favorites and some others! We also use the website 8notes--HIGHLY suggest a membership ($20/year) as you'll need to pull that music up on your end if you'd like to try it out in class☺️📚🎻
Join us every other Wednesday or Thursday evening at 7:30 or 8pm ET on Zoom🎻📚🫖🌻💕
The Virtual Studio Circle is a time for us as a community to get together to hold positive space for those who would like to share what they have been working on during the month. We start the class with a review of what we learned in the studio and on Patreon that month, the guest artist class topic and hear what people have been up to--what new songs, favorite books, musical adventures, etc.--the happenings of the month. The people that you'll meet at the Virtual Studio Circle (and Group Classes) are kind and warm-hearted. They are typically retirees or working professionals who are adding music their lives and who enjoy connecting with others. Some of the members are students who study with me weekly, some study with other teachers and some are professionally trained musicians just doing their own thing and seeking a positive community! We have a great time together and as always--don't forget to bring a cup of (or something stronger!) ! :) Join us the last Friday of the month at 7:30pm ET on Zoom. A new addition is to come to class in your concert attire (you don't have to) but its just so that you are used to wearing your concert clothes, you've played in them (if you decide to play) and you have the opportunity to see if you actually like how they feel for performance.🎻📚🫖🌻
*All classes are recorded so you can still review them even if you can't make it live
