Studio Trips
It's always nice to have a few musical friends! You'll definitely make one at the studio nights, but for those who'd like to have some more musical adventures, come along on a studio trip. We've been to Italy to attend the Interharmony International Music Festival and Academy, The Isle of Man, UK to attend the 2019 Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and this past June 2024 STRINGS WITHOUT BOUNDARIES! https://www.stringswithoutboundaries.com/ The Adult Session 1 at the Gaelic College in Cape Breton Nova Scotia, Canada is on the agenda for 2025!! In previous summers we have ventured to see concerts at the prestigious Tanglewood Music Festival in Massachusetts--Strings Without Boundaries is nearby. Around town, we've been to the Philadelphia Art Museum, concerts at Curtis and the Philadelphia Orchestra and lectures at Penn. We're always looking for interesting places to go! YOUTUBE COMMUNITY

Private Lessons
I teach 5-6 students each day from around the world! Beginners are my specialty! From the little one to the retiree, lessons are centered around YOU. Each lesson encompasses ear training, proper classical technique and form, along with some music theory, and of course plenty of repertoire you'll love from the classical, folk, fiddle and popular genres. I work with the acclaimed Leopold Auer’s Graded Course of Violin Playing methodology and The Royal Conservatory of Music violin and viola methodologies, along with the traditional violin and viola technique books. Here is a typical lesson outline: 1. Rhythmic Exercises 2. Ear Training and Harmony Concepts 3. Instrument Alignment & Technical Warm Ups 4. Key Study in Various Positions 5. Sight reading/Exploring 6. Repertoire Study Don't worry if you have absolutely no experience, that's best--no bad habits yet!! Studio Recitals
The 2nd Saturday of December we always have our annual studio recital! We have a rehearsal in the morning with our lovely pianist and after lunch around the corner, we return to play for the recital. Since it's the holidays, Christmas and Hanukkah tunes are definitely on the agenda! You'll even hear the ensemble class play too! Check out the studio info & policies below for more info.
